We started the week with Matt’s look at the newly released Life by Daniel Espinosa. He painted an awesome sounding film that needs to be watched. All about a bunch of scientists on the ISS who discover life on Mars which turns out hostile. Don’t most alien life forms in movies turn out to be bastards? Anyway, check out what Matt thought HERE.
After finally checking out Dumplings last week, Mags decided she wanted to see the original short film as well as the other two stories, Cut and Box which make up Three… Extremes. 3 of the Far East’s best directors try their hand's at making one of the most sick and twisted anthologies I’ve ever seen. Take a closer look at Mags’ take on Three… Extremes HERE.
This bit of news caught me completely off guard since I had no idea that Hollywood were even considering making a live action version of one of the most iconic anime’s Akira. Since Ghost in the Shell (word on the street is we'll have a review of it out soon) has only just hit the theatres, you’d think they’d see how that goes first. Even though Warner Bros have been trying to make this for years, word coming down the grapevine is Jordan Peele has been approached to direct after his debut Get Out had such massive success. I’ll keep you informed as I find out what’s going on, remember to follow us on FB if you don't already.

It's about bloody time the trailer to IT dropped, and boy does it look good. I’m serious, I know Mags is in two minds on this one, but I liked the tone and a darker feel to it. Pennywise himself looks freaky as fuck too. But we all know not to get mega excited just because a trailer looks awesome, yeah I’m looking at you DC Extended Universe. Only time will tell.
Since I mentioned the DCEU, this rumour is doing the rounds at the moment, that Joss Whedon is about to jumps ship from Marvel over to DC, slated to be directing, writing and producing a Batgirl film. I’m not sure how true this one is at them moment, but if it is then DC has pulled a massive coup over the very successful Marvel.

Now this is the big news for me, the first Destiny 2 trailer is out, while there is absolutely no game play footage, it's still the perfect teaser for fans of the series. Seems the story is going to be set just a little after the first, where the Cabal (a very war like rhino looking bunch) has taken over the “Last City” and it's time to fight them back. Seriously it needs to be checked out, it's just Zavala and Cayde-6 rallying the troops in ways only they can.
Written by Dan who is still trying to get more time on Mass Effect, there will be a review... at some point... I guess.
