Howdy partners, it's Saturday, so it's roundup day. Only the two reviews this week from Mag’s and myself, but to make for it we’ve got some news that I’m hoping you find interesting. So lets get started, shall we?
We kicked things off late this week with Mags’ look of A Cure for Wellness on Thursday, this one really surprised me. I was interested in seeing this when it first came out but after hearing the negative feedback from the critics it slipped from my mind, but since Mags enjoyed so much, now I'm intrigued. Why not read the full review HERE, then watch Wellness and tell us what you think.
New Album Review by Dan:
We of course followed that up with my review of Ark, the latest album from In Hearts Wake from Byron Bay down in Australia. I found it a great metalcore record with a bit of an interesting Nu-Metal twist. A must listen for fans of just Core or both. Read my write up HERE.
Remember a few weeks ago when Ivan Moody of 5 Finger Death Punch “quit the band” at the end of a gig? Yeah, he’s only gone and done it again, but for reals this time. During their Netherlands’ show on Monday the band played a shortened set with Moody arriving to the stage late, arguing with the rest of the band and throwing his guitar during a song. At the end, he told the crowd it was his last show. The next day it was announced officially that Moody was departing from the group because he had ‘fallen off the wagon’. All the best Moody.
Gene Simmons to trademark the 'devil horns'.
Onto the downright fucking stupid, Gene Simmons the Rock God has made a bit of a tit of himself by trying to trademark the ‘devil horns’ hand sign, claiming he “invented” it back in 74. Fortunately he’s not doing this for monetary gain, he just wants his name attached to it. Only problem is the sign has been around for ages, it's ‘I Love You’ in sign language, was used by James Dio and Geezer Butler for years, John Lennon can been seen doing it on the cover to ‘Yellow Submarine’ back in 66 and of course Spider-Man has been doing it since 1962 when he shoots his web slingers. Yeah bit of a muppet I think.

Let the hype for Black Panther begin.
Onto films now and we present to you the trailer to MCU’s Black Panther which will be hitting the big screens early next year, but so begins the massive hype. But when has Marvel ever disappointed us? Ok Ant-Man wasn’t that great I heard. But I have faith here, because our favourite sword wielding zombie slayer will be returning to the role she played in Civil War. While Danai Gurira’s part is small enough to keep her on The Walking Dead for the time being, I just it stays that way, we’ve waited seasons for Michonne to hook up with Rick and we’re not letting it go that easy.
Duke is here to kick ass and chew bubble gum, and he's all out of gum... On the big screen!
Duke Nukem has been a cult classic character for years now, the stereotypical 80's action hero that is completely unPC is what we’ve grown up with, well I did anyway. The big news coming out of Tinseltown is after attempting for turn this gaming star into a movie since the 90’s, it seems to be finally happening. No word yet on who will be starring, but mark my words now, this will either be a film of the year like Deadpool, or absolute shite, there will be no middle ground.

November can't get here quick enough.
It was E3 last weekend and two things caught my eye, first is Star Wars Battlefront II, it looks amazeballs. It will feature a shot ton of Heroes and Villains, all three eras, Prequel, Original and Sequel. But most importantly a single player campaign that spans from Return of the Jedi to The Force Awakens, some 40 odd years. I can’t wait to get my hands on this one, check out the trailer.
Grab your Rum and your parrot, it's time to take to the high seas again.
Another exciting news coming out of E3 was Unisoft’s Singapore branch has been a busy bunch. They have listened to the fans and are giving us what we want. They have taken the naval element of Assassins Creed Black Flag and expanded it into a massive multiplayer action adventurer called Skull & Bones. I still play Black Flag now only to run amok on the oceans so this couldn’t have come at a better time. The video contains a lot of pre alpha game play check it out and try not to get too excited, the game will be out NEXT August.
