Onto some brighter news, Bring Me The Horizon announced a massive stadium tour through the UK in support of their massive latest release That’s The Spirit. After amazing demand on the first day (8th of January) the band has added 2 extra dates bringing the tour up to 8 nights. Good luck getting tickets if you haven’t got them yet as I hear the extra dates are going fast also. Dates and locations as followed:
This week also saw the huge news break that at least 3 of the original members of Gun N' Roses are to return together to headline Coachella festival in mid-April this year, with rumours of a US tour at least being mentioned. The 3 confirmed members so far are Axel Rose who has continued the band with minimal success over the years. Slash, who has had massive hits with Velvet Revolver and his own bands Slash’s Snakepit and his current band Slash with the Co-Conspirators featuring Miles Kennedy and finally Duff McKagan who of course joined Slash in Velvet Revolver and also played with Jane’s Addiction. I will keep an eye and ear out to see who else is confirmed and report back as soon as I can.
Well there you go, it just might of been the first full week of the year but it was an eventful one. Lemmy’s memorial showcased a great man who lived his life his way while loving music and the fans. The UK’s biggest band at the moment announced a massive stadium tour and almost sell it out in hours. While one of the biggest bands of the late 80’s and early 90’s reforms for at least one festival while teasing a tour to follow. If this is what 2016 has given us one week in I can’t wait for the rest of it. Catch you next week Rock and Rollers, I’ll leave you with Lemmy’s immortal words: “Born to lose, Live to Win”
