England has really jumped on the Metalcore band wagon since its inception and it has helped bring some amazing bands out, none more so than The Architects who just released their latest, All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us.
All Our Gods, released 27th of May 2016, is by far the
heaviest and darkest work this band has even put their name to. ‘A match Made in Heaven’ was the perfect choice for the lead single with its high octane and hard hitting pace. ‘Gravity’ is an amazing track, with hints of Hatebreed but proves quite melodic and memorable. Finally, ‘Memento Mori’ the closer is by far the most impressive song, an 8 minute musically landscape, starting with clean vocals before hard, the ending is outstanding with Carter shrieking out over massive beats and a wall of strings, guitars and keyboard, all working in unison.
I’ve never called myself a fan of The Architects, currently made up of Tom Searle (lead guitar), Dan Searle (drums), Alex Dean (bass), Sam Carter (vocals) and Adam Christianson (rhythm guitar), I know I’ve heard their stuff before through the years living here in the UK, but never paid them any attention which is a shame, these guys know what they do and do it well. As I stated before, this album isn’t a leap onto new pastures but rather they solidifying their sound and being on top of their game. And I can’t wait to see why they will release next after the world tour.
