The second of the Burbank covers EP’s showcases the band's amazing abilities and leaves the listener wanting oh so much more.
The album is only 5 tracks long, “Sailin On” originally by Bad Brains, Iron Maidens classic “Running Free”, my personal favourite “Gimme Shelter” featuring Lzzy Hale, “Too Fast For Love” by Motley Crue and finally Slayer’s monster “Seasons in The Abyss”. On the bands website Josh Rand explains “To stay true to the original recordings of these songs, we tried to recreate the sounds and tones that the original artist used. This was both fun and challenging, but the end result was worth all the hard work everyone put into achieving it. I feel the diversity of the songs used that the band has covered it will definitely impact us on the next Stone Sour release”. After listening to this EP and hearing each of the different covers and how the band has mastered each of the tracks I can’t wait for the next album or EP, it will be nothing short of amazing with everything that this band has picked up. Stone Sour continues to move from strength to strength and this EP is no exception.
