Who knows, but even if that is all 100% real, you and me know that people who pass out during a movie knowing it is pure fiction are not right in the head. You can call me
Justine (Garance Marillier in her feature-film debut) is a young naïve vegetarian and when she leaves her over protective Mum and Dad to go to vet school, she doesn’t get much of a warm welcome. The older students like to greet the new ones with some a long ass hazing ritual, which goes on pretty much for the whole length of the movie since the French are a sadistic bunch. The fun traditions include waking up the newbies in the middle of the night, throwing their mattress out of the window, covering them in probably real animal blood and in another one the freshmen have to eat raw rabbit kidney… Something soon after that changes inside of Justine, as she find herself craving something she never had hunger for before: meat.
Oh and let’s not forget the M. Night Shyamalan twist at the end. That really came out of nowhere.
