Well, it’s been two years since we watched the much anticipated (mostly for ladies) first installment of the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy by author E.L. James. The two main characters are played by Jamie Dornan (Christian Grey) and Dakota Johnson (Anastasia Steele). If you recall the end of Fifty Shades of Grey, Christian completely violated (without getting into explicit detail) Anastasia’s body and mind but, not without her consent. Ana’s desire to understand his sadness and please him clouded her
best judgments. She could envision the consequences of Christian’s actions but still allowed him to, “Show me how much it can hurt”. So, he complied. After all is said and done, Ana runs away from Christian, his dominating, his rules and his secrets which tears his whole world apart. Hers too.
This is where we'll transition into Fifty Shades Darker. I loved the movie but I do have to criticize the fast pace. The film moved so quickly from scene to scene without explanation. If you didn't read the book, (You Need To Read The Book! LOL!) it would be hard to follow. However, I'm a certified (Can't Help It) romance lover, reader and movie watcher and that's what I loved best about the film. Christian really comes out of his shell in Fifty Shades Darker, trying to overcome his troubled past to win Ana over. He knows how much he misses all of Ana and wants to win her back. Throughout the film you will witness how his love grows for her. He shows her just how much he loves her by the end of the film. You'll love it! My heart was full of love for them at the end. Also, I did laugh a lot throughout the film which I found enlightening. Christian and Ana are surprisingly more mature in this film too. If you love romance, please watch!!
Thanks For Reading!
