Despite 2017 not being a great year for world issues it's been a great year for hiphop. With the return of the G.O.A.T. Eminem and his future classic Revival and the momentum of the rappers from my home province making worldwide noise such as Madchild, Merkules and Junk, hiphop is in a great place. There's definitely an overwhelming amount of talentless autotune rappers that have been achieving a lot of popularity but if you stick with rappers like the ones on my list you'll continue to appreciate real hiphop for years to come.
Machine Gun Kelly aka MGK is a rapper based out of Cleveland, Ohio and is the biggest name to represent the city since Bone Thugs n Harmony. He's named after the infamous gangster for his rapid fire flows, not for being hardcore but he did come up on the streets of Cleveland in an area close to where Bone is from. He's been part of a collective of MC's and producers that are named EST 19XX, which eventually became his label name as well.
